USB Mass-storage testing

Following description show how to test linux usb mass-storage drivers/devices

Simple mass-storage benchmarking –

1) mount usb mass-storage device at /mnt/usb “mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/usb”

2) time dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/usb/testfile bs=1024k count=10000

this will copy 10GB file to usb drive and show the time and speed required for this operation.
